Eric Church's Grammy-nominated 'The Outsiders' album has gone Platinum for one million in sales. It's an accomplishment very few artists can claim in 2014. In fact, only two country artists released albums this year and hit the one million mark.

Jason Aldean's 'Old Boots, New Dirt' also went Platinum, as did Taylor Swift's '1989' and Sam Smith's 'Lonely Hour.' Church's project promises to only grow bigger in 2015, as it's up for three Grammys, including Country Album of the Year. The singer is also nominated with Keith Urban in the Country Group/Duo Performance of the Year category. 'Raise 'Em Up' is on Urban's most recent 'Fuse' album.

On Monday (Dec. 15), 'The Outsiders' took the Album of the Year award at the first-ever American Country Countdown Awards on FOX. During his acceptance speech, the 'Give Me Back My Hometown' singer emphatically reject the notion that albums no longer matter.

'The Outsiders' becomes Church's second Platinum album, following his 2011 release, 'Chief.'
