Governor Brian Schweitzer has vetoed a bill today that would have repealed Montana's Medical Marijuana Law. The governor included the bill in a number of vetoes issued today, calling the bills "frivolous, unconstitutional or in direct contradiction to the expressed will of the people of Montana."

There are few options left in this session of the legislature to address the issue this year. There is a bill in conference committee to close what some see as loopholes in the current law. It is very likely there will be no change in the law since the session must end in about one week.

Paul of Cat Country's Breakfast Flakes has been very vocal in his opposition to the current law. There are more than 28,000 registered medical pot users in Montana.
