This station started broadcasting as cat Country March 1st, 1988. We were the first radio station in Billings to play all of our music from compact disc.

I can't help think about all of the folks that have come and gone in that time. Pat Metzger, Jim Diamond, Henry Keith Todd, Jeff Womack, Sue Robison, Karen Black, Susie Paddock, Linda Simonsen, Nancy Gallagher, Ann Berg, Marcia Moss. And so many really great people. And a few that weren't.

I've been here 28 years now and have worked under 14 general managers. Our first GM was a really great guy. Keith Tilkens got the ball rolling here and did a lot of nice things for people. For me personally, he gave me a pair of tickets to my first NFL game, and bought me lunch many days when I couldn't afford to go out anywhere. And he always knew when I was flat broke.

Keith went to AA meetings with employees who were trying to quit drinking. He always had time to sit and talk about whatever was on your mind. And quite often, he'd be sitting at the front desk when I came walking in the door at the radio station.

Keith was killed in a car accident. but we still talk about him every so often. Knowing that we were lucky to have worked WITH him. I say "with", because Keith never thought that anybody worked FOR him.
