According to the real estate website Estately.com, Montana is the fifth least scary state in the nation.  Their rankings are based on several factors, including: tornadoes, hurricanes, other natural disasters, spiders, snakes, lightning strikes, murder rates, meth labs, clowns and dentists.

They say Florida is the scariest state in the country, followed by Georgia, Texas, Louisiana and Alabama. South Dakota is the least scary state.  North Dakota, Vermont, Nebraska and Montana round out the bottom five.

Evidently, the scariest thing about living in Montana is the growing bear population.  Luckily, the number of clowns in the Treasure State has decreased over the past few years.  Here's the link to the entire article, titled "The United States of Fear".
