Can Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera duet? It’s hard to say, but judging by the tweets we saw going back and forth between the two ‘The Voice‘ judges earlier this week, a Shelton/Aguilera country mash-up might not be too far away.
Considering what a strong team of singers he has this season, it’s never easy for Blake Shelton to send anyone home on ‘The Voice.’ However, tonight his choice was tougher than ever: powerhouse Erin Willett, who overcame her father’s passing to triumph through to the Sweet 16 was pitted against pint-sized country cutie RaeLynn, who was a judges’ darling from day one.
As a celebrity coach on NBC’s hit show ‘The Voice,’ Blake Shelton spends most of his time sitting alongside his fellow coaches in his futuristic-looking red swivel chair that has become such an integral part of the show. But next week, the laid-back country coach will be taking a break from his chair-warming duties to join his four remaining team members onstage. Though Shelton has a slight advantage over his team members (he can’t get voted off), he will be stepping into their shoes Monday night (April 16) for a joint performance.
Blake Shelton will lose a chunk of his team after Monday night’s episode of ‘The Voice.’ Four of the 12 performers — all from Team Blake or Team Christina — will be sent home during Tuesday’s results show, with two others only being saved after a do-or-die performance.
A few moments into his duet of ‘You Are’ with Blake Shelton at the 2012 ACM Awards, Lionel Richie sort of smiled, shook his head and recognized the strangeness of two grown, heterosexual men singing the love ballad together. Then he kept singing, turning in a fine topper to an enjoyable — albeit tame — country awards show.
With only a day until the 47th Annual ACM Awards, the country world is descending upon Las Vegas. Fans are getting ready to be entertained for the weekend; country stars are getting settled and fitted for their awards night attire; and superstar Blake Shelton is getting ready (physically and mentally) for his second year as an ACM co-host with Reba McEntire. Though this is McEntire’s 14th consecutive year and she could do this show in her sleep, Shelton, who will be performing as well, admitted to some nerves.
The 2012 ACM Awards are shaping up to be quite an entertaining evening, with new country stars being added to the celebrity lineup of performers each day. That’s in addition to a live onstage wedding, and now, a list of country talents set to bring special duets to the ACM stage. The Academy announced today (March 29) the lineup of special collaborations that are slated to be a part of country music’s “party of the year.”
The verdict is in for People Country’s hottest guy, and the top cowboy stud of the year just so happens to be now widely-loved ‘The Voice‘ celebrity coach and country star Blake Shelton. The Oklahoma native is (not surprisingly) quite “aww shucks” about the whole thing, telling the magazine, ”I think it’s funny because there is nothing about me, if I was a girl, that I would think is sexy” (quotes via the Boot). But country ladies everywhere seem to disagree.
Blake Shelton sent the most countrified member of his team home during Monday night’s episode of ‘The Voice.’ To be fair, the song Jordan Rager was asked to sing was way out of his comfort zone, but a perfect fit for his Battle Rounds contender Naia Kete. Rager’s growth during the rehearsals was commendable, but ultimately not enough.
Along with about 8,000 other fans, I enjoyed the Blake Shelton concert at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark last Friday night (March 23). My evening started with setting up outside of Metra with the station van, playing the tunes loud and proud 1 hour before showtime. As I was setting up a young lady came out, who I recognized as Dia Frampton!
March 26, 2012 The Blake Shelton concert last Friday was amazing! Shelton played great and was hilarious on stage. The folks that got to the show early enjoyed Dia Frampton's great set, and Justin Moore practically brought the house down!
March 23, 2012 Blake Shelton is set to rock the house tonight at MetraPark! Blake is going to rock the town with Justin Moore, who opened for Miranda when she was here and killed it! He was freakin' awesome. Also opening for Blake, last season's contestant from team Blake on NBC's "The Voice" Dia Frampton.
