Now that David Nail has scored himself his first No. 1 hit with ‘Let It Rain,’ he is beginning to get more recognition as an artist. Now, he’s preparing to hit the road with pop-rock singer Gavin DeGraw for a mini tour kicking off in March.

David Nail was a bit lost for words on Monday afternoon (Feb. 6) as he celebrated his very first chart-topping hit, ‘Let It Rain,’ from ASCAP headquarters in downtown Nashville. Nail and his co-writer on ‘Let It Rain,’ Jonathan Singleton, were praised and recognized for their hit song that took its sweet time climbing the charts — 11 months, to be exact.

Wherever David Nail is today, he is one happy man. This week, the Missouri native is experiencing what it’s like to sit atop the country singles chart with the nation’s No. 1 song. ‘Let It Rain,’ penned by Nail and hit songwriter Jonathan Singleton, knocked the Zac Brown Band‘s ‘Keep Me in Mind’ out of the top slot after multiple weeks.
