Greer Stadium was the place to be Saturday morning (June 9) if you were in Nashville for the 2012 CMA Music Festival. Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Vince Gill, Brantley Gilbert, David Nail, James Otto, RaeLynn, Chuck Wicks, Greg Bates, Whitney Duncan, the LoCash Cowboys and Bucky Covington were just a few of the stars on hand to play in the 22nd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, which raised funds for cancer research.

One of the most anticipated events held during the 2012 CMA Music Festival is the annual City of Hope Softball Challenge, which brings country music’s biggest stars to the baseball field for a great cause. This year, Scotty McCreery, Carrie Underwood, LoCash Cowboys, Lauren Alaina, Brantley Gilbert, Vince Gill, Chuck Wicks, David Nail, James Otto, Jeffrey Steele and many more have signed on for the big game, set for Saturday, June 9.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of country music fans flock to the streets of Nashville for CMA fest. The four-day Country Music Association festival is filled with great music, southern food and lots of country music stars. But before the celebs take to the stage, plenty of them line up on the softball field at Nashville’s Greer Stadium to participate in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game.
