It's literally the perfect storm for Butte, Bozeman, Billings, Baker, and everywhere in between. Heavy snowfall, dangerous winds, and drastically cold temperatures are expected across most of Montana. Don't be surprised if Emergency Travel Only statements are issued.
The National Weather Service here in Billings has reported a Hazardous Weather Outlook for South-central Montana and Northern Wyoming detailing significant amounts of precipitation, including snow in the mountains.
Last night's storm decided not to drop hail stones on us. Billings is the 8th worst city to live in over the last 3 years for hail based on insurance claims, 5 of the top 10 are in Texas. At least for a while people won't need a new roof or a new skin on their car...
