It's been over twenty years since Brad Pitt last worked with Ridley Scott, which is surprising as it was Pitt's work in 1991's 'Thelma and Louise' that launched him into superstardom. The duo have reunited for 'The Counselor,' and in anticipation of a new trailer hitting tomorrow, three clips from the movie have been released.

All three suggest that Michael Fassbender's character might be going down a dark path, and that he knowingly gets involved in a terrible situation. Each scene has Fassbender having a quick conversation (with Pitt, Javier Bardem, and Penelope Cruz), and only one seems to end in sex. And though we were disappointed with 'Prometheus,' this looks to be one of Ridley Scott's strongest films in a long time, and that the script comes from Cormac McCarthy suggests this could be an all-timer. If done right.

'The Counselor' opens October 25. Here's the film's synopsis:

Ridley Scott and author Cormac McCarthy join forces in the motion picture thriller THE COUNSELOR, starring Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, and Brad Pitt. McCarthy, making his screenwriting debut and Scott interweave the author's characteristic wit and dark humor with a nightmarish scenario, in which a respected lawyer's one-time dalliance with an illegal business deal spirals out of control.
