THIS IS WHAT I THINK OF THE “FISCAL CLIFF” [Opinion]

When all is said and done I think the "Fiscal Cliff" will be much more of a "Fiscal Curb". Both sides have too much of a stake in not letting the big taxes and big cuts take place. So I think they'll let the deadline pass. That way the Democrats can get the tax increases on the top 2% they're looking for and Republicans can claim they cut taxes... for the 98%. Republicans will get bigger cuts in spending and Democrats can claim they averted much bigger cuts than what would have happened. In the meantime both sides will claim the other is the devil incarnate. So don't worry about the "fiscal curb" because eventually both sides will do what is right by the country... sort of... but only as long as they can doing it while saving face... which is what all the posturing is really all about.
