I hope you like Hootie and the Blowfish!  Just kidding!  However, I do hope that you like their former lead singer, Darius Rucker.  One of his new songs out is my "Favorite Friday" song pick of the week!

I love a good story and what could be better than the former front man for Hootie and the Blowfish going country?  Not only that, but hearing this song at his daughters talent show and then redoing it to make it his own?  I love it!

This weeks "Favorite Friday" song pick of the week is Darius Ruckers "Wagon Wheel".  Wikipedia has this to say about Darius Rucker's reaction to this weeks song pick at his daughter's talent contest:

"So, I’m at my daughter’s high school talent show, and I’m sitting in the audience with my family. We were watching my daughter, and the faculty band gets up. It’s just the faculty from her school, and they play ‘Wagon Wheel.’ I’m sitting in the audience, and they get to the middle of the chorus, and I turned to my wife, and I go, ‘I’ve got to cut this song.’ I’m serious. This all happened in three-and-a-half minutes, four minutes, while they’re playing the song."

So here it is!  Take a listen!

Love it?  Hate it?  Comment below and let me know if you're as impressed with this song as Darius and I are!
