Zimmerman Trail Might Have to Close Again

Paul drove up Zimmerman Trail this weekend for the first time since it had been closed for repairs.  Sadly, he thinks the City of Billings will have to close it again sometime soon.

If you've driven the trail, you've probably noticed several areas on the side of the road that have been washed out.  Orange cones are posted to warn drivers of the drop-off.  Of course, that type of erosion will only get worse over time.

Which got us wondering, why didn't they just fix those washes when the trail was closed for 3 months?  It's not a major project.  A yard of concrete would have sealed those wash outs quite nicely.  Paul and his kids could get the whole road sealed up in a day.
