There was another great wrestling tourney at Metra Park this past weekend. It got me thinking about these young men between 14 and 18 who are rapidly growing and developing yet deprive their bodies of all the calories and nutrients they need to grow bone mass, muscle etc.

I would like to hear from some doctors about their feelings on this subject, especially with kids who try to wrestle the same weight class all four years. Maybe I'm just worried about nothing, but I hope it doesn't create future health problems associated with not growing and gaining in those important adolescent years.
