Darius Rucker knows how popular the Robertson's from Duck Dynasty are, and wasted no time in asking them to be in his new music video for the song "Wagon Wheel".

My wife came up with the idea to have the Duck Dynasty guys in the ‘Wagon Wheel’ music video, and I thought we had no chance because they’re so busy, so I never even said it out loud. Thank God she called my manager because the DD folks took this video to a whole new level!

Darius tweeted about meeting the Robertsons,

Truly awesome when u meet folks and they r cooler and nicer than u thought they would be. Thank u @DuckDynastyAE

Not sure what exactly the Robertson's will be doing in the video, but Wille, Jase, Si, Korie, and Sadie make an appearance. The video will also features Charles Kelley from "Lady Antebellum", (he also does back up vocals of the track). Lady A' bandmates Hillary Scott, and Dave Heywood will also be showing up in the video somewhere along the way.

The song "Wagon Wheel" was originally written by Ketch Secor and co-authored with Bob Dylan, and his band "The Old Crow Medicine Show" earned a gold record for the song in 2011, it is arguably their most recognized tunes.

Here's an audio track of Darius' version from YouTube...

(I have always loved this song, and sing it way out loud when I hear it come on while I am driving... alone, and nobody can hear me. I had said that I liked the "Old Crow Medicine Show" version much more, but then I got a hold of this MP3 of Darius doing an acoustic set with the song, and it is better than the studio over-produced version that appears on the album... JUST MY OPINION... but check it out, and decide for yourself...)

Former frontman for "Hootie and the Blowfish", Darius Rucker was invited to join the Grand Ole Opry in October of 2012. "Wagon Wheel" will be on his third country album, "True Believers", and is set to be released later this spring.
