Dierks Bentley’s ‘Black’ to Be Printed on Vinyl
There's just something about an album on vinyl that makes it sound so much more authentic. Dierks Bentley seems to agree, so he'll be releasing his most personal album to date, Black, on vinyl beginning August 12.
“When we created this album, I kept imagining the flow of this record being told with an ‘A’ side and ‘B’ side,” Bentley says in a press release. “We’ve released vinyl before, but I’ve never had the chance to really master it properly and didn’t really put the time in before that it deserved. With Black, every little detail has mattered to me ... Sterling Sound in New York really gave the mix a warmth that you don’t hear on MP3 or CD, and I can’t wait for fans to hear the whole album this way.”
To celebrate the reincarnation of his most recent project, Bentley will make a guest appearance at Vintage Vinyl in St. Louis for an intimate performance before he takes the big stage that night as part of his Somewhere on a Beach Tour.
Black debuted at the top position on both Billboard’s Top Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart the week of its release. It has also produced the No. 1 single, "Somewhere on a Beach," with the second single off the record "Different for Girls" climbing up the charts.
The 40-year-old singer recently announced plans to extend his summer tour. The continued trek will continue through October and beyond, including stops in Knoxville, Tenn., Green Bay, Wisc., Jonesboro, Ark. and Lexington, Ky. Dates for these spots have not been released yet.
