We've all heard the phrase "money can't buy happiness".  Try telling that to someone who doesn't have any money.

According to a report from a group called Advisor Perspectives, there is a point where money can no longer buy happiness.  This is the level where money no longer has an impact on your day to day emotional well being.  And, in the state of Montana, that point is $73,950 a year.

For some folks, that might sound like a lot.  Just be thankful you live here and not in Hawaii or Washington, DC.  There, you would need to make over a $100,000 each year just to live comfortably.  Overall, Montana's "happiness benchmark" is slightly lower than the national average of $75,000 per year. Check out the full list here.

Coincidentally, this report reminds of us an old joke.  What's the difference between a radio DJ and a pizza?  A pizza can feed a family of 4.
