Stuck In An Elevator While It’s Going Down

Okay, so getting stuck in an elevator is not that much fun.  I don't know if you know this or not.  But it's not.

We(there were 4 of us) were just getting ready to go to lunch for a co-workers birthday(he's very, very old and needed food to keep his blood sugar up).  When the 4 of us we got on the elevator, the door closed and down we went.  Like 1/2 of a floor.  Then slowly, screeching, another 1/2 of a floor.  This is when the elevator finally came to a screeching halt.  So did my heart.

Wow, not a lot of fun.  I did suffer a great bout of anxiety which helped to keep my heart pumping though, if I want to look at the bright side of things.  Our "Birthday Boy" though said that his stomach was about to explode(not up either) due to nerves.

We did get a hold of the front desk though and after about 15 minutes went by, we were rescued!  Phew!  Well, really the elevator started moving again and we jumped off on the next available floor and took a different elevator down.

See there's all sorts of fun and excitement at the office!  We had to go back and take a picture later as we were all to concerned about getting off of that darn thing to take a picture while we were on it!
