November 16, 2012 I just got back from the Flakesgiving set up at Metra. Thank you to about 300 students from all over the state for climbing on board to help out with over 1,500 boxes of Flakesgiving food. There is an FFA event going on in the area and students heard about the event and donated their time this weekend for Flakesgiving.

The 2012 Flakesgiving Update – The Breakfast Flakes
October 31, 2012 Dear Cat Country Listeners,
As we slowly sneak up on Flakesgiving, I just wanted to give you a heads up on the most asked questions. The event will be at Metrapark again this year November 16 & 17. Meal assembly is Friday, and we'll give them out and deliver Saturday. Volunteers are asked to be there at 10:15 on the day they can help. We know that we've got several groups from FFA chapters, the Huntley wrestlers, players from Halos Baseball, Veterans Upward Bound and many more helping, but we can never have too many folks helping out.

November 21, 2011 Flakesgiving 2011 was a great success! We got nearly 1500 meals packed in 94 minutes, and gave them all to needy families in a single day.
