Over the weekend, I had the privilege of hosting the 13th Annual "Pet-O-Ween" Costume Contest at Shipton's Big R.  Over 60 Dogs, cats and critters strutted their stuff on the "catwalk" and the ensembles were awesome.

One of my favorites was designed by a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who dressed their dog up like pro bowl safety Troy PAWlamalu.

Dogs weren't the only animals who got in on the fun.  This young lady went for the "Alice in Wonderland" theme, dressing her pet lizard as a bunny rabbit.

There were separate categories for small animals, medium sized dogs and, of course, the big dogs like this Golden Retriever in a "banana split" costume.

Everyone had a great time, especially the owners who dressed up along with their pets like this lady and her Flintstones themed "cave woman".

Of course, the pets also had a great time, many of whom made some new friends.More importantly, we were able to raise a lot of money for our friends over at the Rimrock Humane Society, which made this "dude" very happy.
