This week my Throw Back Thursday is a little different.  Today I pay tribute to and wish a Happy Birthday to my big Brother Jim.

With all the attacks lately on our Military men and women, I have been thinking a lot about my brother and the many years that he dedicated his life to our Military.

In September of 2011, after 29 years of service my brother retired from active duty in the United States Navy as a Chief Warrant Officer Four.

Above and beyond his many accomplishments and promotions at Sea and as an Instructor, his personal awards include the Meritorious Service Award, Navy and Marine Crop Commendation Medal (six awards), the Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (four awards) and is authorized to wear numerous other campaign and unit awards.

I always joked with him that I felt much safer as an American while he was on duty, but with all of the recent attacks and now with the Iran Nuclear Deal, I sure wish he was still out there protecting me and my family.

Today I thank you James E. Gallagher for not only your service to our country, but for being one of the best "OLDER" brothers a girl could have.
