Would You Drive A Computer Navigated “Smart” Car?

It was another "Weird Wednesday" with the Breakfast Flakes.  Today's phone topic was computer controlled cars that drive themselves.  After seeing the new cars that parallel park themselves, Mark is now convinced that we're living in a futuristic bizzaro world.  It's only a matter of time before our society turns into an episode of "The Jetsons".

As usual, the reaction on the phone lines was mixed.  One lady called in with an interesting question:  if cars drive themselves, how will society weed out stupid people?  And while technology might deal a blow to the theory of natural selection, there are some benefits.  For example, another caller pointed out how much safer the roads would be if senior citizens all had computer controlled vehicles.
