Wolf Point Woman Sentenced to Nearly 5 Years for Dealing Meth Out of Billings Motels

A 27-year-old Wolf Point woman will spend four years and eight months behind bars for running a methamphetamine operation out of two Billings motels, followed by four years of supervised release once she's out, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Mark Steger Smith.

Destinee Fate Rowe Sentenced in Billings Federal Court

Destinee Fate Rowe entered a guilty plea in January 2026 to a single federal charge of conspiring to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute it. U.S. District Judge William W. Mercer handed down the sentence Tuesday.

Police Seize Methamphetamine at Vegas Hotel in Billings

According to court records, Rowe was already on state probation in Montana when she started selling meth in the city. A tipster alerted authorities that she was working out of a room at the Vegas Hotel. When investigators searched the room, they recovered an ounce and a half of methamphetamine.

Montana Drug Investigation Leads to Econo Lodge Bust

Roughly a week after the Vegas Hotel search, a fresh tip came in placing Rowe at the Econo Lodge, where she'd apparently relocated her business. Officers searched both her room and her car this time and found another ounce and a half of meth. Rowe didn't deny it, telling investigators she was selling the drugs.

Billings Police and ATF Lead Meth Conspiracy Investigation

Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Godfrey handled the prosecution. Billings Police Department detectives and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives carried out the investigation that led to Rowe's arrest and conviction.
