Billings' Wet Nose Wednesday adoptable dog is adorable.

Our featured pet this week from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is a real sweetie. Her name is Bertha and she's an English Bulldog mix, believed to be around one-and-a-half years old. She and another dog named Larry (believed to be a sibling) were picked up as strays. Sadly, nobody came forward to claim them. Bertha seems well-cared for and doesn't appear like she spent much time on the loose.

They've both been spayed/neutered and while we didn't meet Larry today, we did spend some time with Bertha when Tiffany Smith with YVAS stopped by the studio. I fell in love with this dog immediately and I'm sure other fans of bulldog-type dogs will too.

For a younger dog, Bertha was impressively calm.

Puppies are a lot of work, and older dogs can be quirky too. Bertha seems to be in the perfect age sweet spot. She gets along well with other dogs and is very affectionate. A little bit shy when we first met, she quickly adjusted to a strange place. It took just a moment to get her stub of a tail wagging.

WTF. "We're Too Full" promotion continues at the shelter.

If the cost of adopting a pet has been your only barrier, now is a great time to consider a pet from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. To help alleviate overcrowding their name-your-own-price promotion continues through the end of October.
