I am originally from Los Angeles, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. In between I spent two years of my childhood in Montana. One in Great Falls and the other in Havre. My mom married a Canadian when I was 9, and we moved to Canada. Because the winters in Edmonton were too damn cold, I moved back to California once I was 21. My radio career has taken me to Casa Grande, Ariz., and to Palm Springs, Fresno and San Luis Obispo, Calif., and back to Edmonton, and Yakima. I play poker, basketball and flag football in my free time. My claim to fame is that my wife Monica is sisters with the former Miss El Salvador 1996, who came in sixth in that year's Miss Universe competition. Of course I think my wife is prettier than her sister! I also have a 12-year-old daughter named Noel who is in junior high and was the fifth-grade champion high jumper.

Thrift Store Find Of The Week
So I wandered down to St. Vincent's Thrift Store on Montana and 27th on my break and found this domino-like game that is obviously of some Asian origin. It was only $5 and seems to be completely intact... only problem is that I don't know what it is...
Bathroom Fail
First off let me say I love the gym where I work out. The people couldn't be nicer and the facilities, equipment and trainers are top shelf. But nothing is perfect and in this case it's one of the two bathroom stalls in the men's locker room...

We had an absolute blast at the Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex for Top Shot 2014. Thanks to our title sponsor Shipton's Big R for making this event possible and thanks to Holiday Station Stores, Fire Dragon Tactical Shooting and Grizzly Gold and Silver for their support...
Montana Is A Great Place To Enjoy The Outdoors But There Are Snakes In Them There Hills
First thanks to Mike and Angela at the Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex for putting on a great event... Top Shot 2014 was fantastic and congrats to our champion Seth Berglee. The natural beauty of Montana was on display just a few miles south of Billings all weekend long...
Protect Yourself From Theives Who Can Get A Copy Of Your Key With Their Cell Phone
Technology is a great thing but in the hands of the wrong people it can be a menace. Enter a couple of new companies who will come to the rescue should you ever lock yourself out of your home or office. With the "Key Me" and "Keys Duplicated" apps you can take a picture of your home or office keys and these apps will construct a 3D image that locksmiths can use to essentially &
Now This Is A Thing… Cappuccino Flavored Potato Chips
There are many flavors of potato chips that you can find in Canada (where I grew up) that are super tasty that are difficult to find here in Billings. For instance, ketchup potato chips. That might sound a bit odd but when you consider that potato chips are fried slices of potato then there's not much difference between that and fries with ketchup...
Why The Toilet Paper Roll Should Go Over The Top And Not Behind
I've really never understood why this is even a question. I would have thought that 100% of all humans would want the toilet paper to go over the top of the roll much in the same way that none of my fellow human beings want to be stuck in the eye with a hot poker...
Thrift Store Find Of The Week
Usually when I hit the thrift stores here in Billings I'm looking for Mid Century Modern furniture and accessories. I love the Mad Men look and while I do buy and sell I figure if I get stuck with what I buy then it's something I'll still enjoy...
I Bought This Table For $8 and Sold It For $120 On eBay
As I've mentioned on this blog I frequent Montana Rescue Mission and St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Stores. The nasty, moldy table you see above was purchased at St. Vincent De Paul across the street from Cat Country on Montana Ave for a grand total of $8...
Road Construction In Billings To Go On For 6-8 More Weeks
Seems like getting anywhere this year has been a real pain in the butt. Due to loose rocks on the north rim, Zimmerman Trail, home to 3000 car trips per day, was shut down for months, Montana Ave. from about Central Avenue east was closed down to one lane for a couple of months and now construction on Grand Avenue between about 20th and 24th streets and 27th Street downtown has caused slowdowns an
My Memory of 9/11
My daughter was 9 months old when 9/11 happened. My wife received a call from her mom frantically telling her to turn on the TV to CNN. The live video we were watching of both World Trade Center towers in New York was surreal. By the time we tuned in the various news organizations had just received confirmation from the government that this was a terrorist attack...
