Chris Young Called Hot Rod Thompson [Audio]

One of the benefits of my job is getting phone calls from the artists that I play on the radio. People that I have listened to and admired for years. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to remind myself that this is real. I love my job.  Today (Nov. 12) was no exception.

Chris Young is an artist that I have admired and loved for years now. From the time he won Nashville Star, I was a fan. His music speaks to me and his voice is something I wish I had. To me, he is an amazing talent and I will be a fan for many years to come if not longer.

I received word from his record label that he wanted to call and chat with me about his upcoming stop at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark on November 20th. My response? Well, duh! Of course I'll talk with him!

I'll be darned if he didn't indeed call me on my show. He was such an easy interview and made me feel like we were old buddies. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.
