My Top Family Halloween Movies

We're getting ever so close to Halloween here in Billings and the shows are in full swing! Every night when I get home, we make it a point to watch one good family Halloween movie after dinner. There are plenty to choose from, but only a select few are our favorites.

Here's some that my family and I love in no particular order:

• Hotel Transylvania. This is one of our All Time Favorites! A hotel for monsters was a brilliant idea from Adam Sandler. We can't wait to see Hotel Transylvania 2.

• Casper. My kids laugh so hard at Casper's brothers and how stupid they can be.

• The Haunted Mansion. The way Eddie Murphy seems so clueless at first and then gets the surprise of his life is a ton of fun.

• Monster House. Believe or not, this show actually scared our more little kids at first. They came along quite quickly though. To think it was the old man's wife that was possessing the house was awesome and my kids loved it.

• Hocus Pocus. These witches are so crazy and stupid. They have my kids and laughing throughout much of the movie.

• Paranorman. This is actually one that I got into more than the kids. He's on a mission he doesn't want to be on and it makes my boys feel like they can take the witch too.

• It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Halloween just wouldn't be right without this movie. It's a classic. It's a family tradition to watch this movie right before Halloween.
