Reading

It's the first of it's kind in Montana, made possible by a partnership with Billings Public Library, the Library Foundation, and McCall Homes.

My 10 year old daughter and I recently started reading Treasure Island and will hopefully finish it before her teen years. Reading is one of the best mental exercises you can do to keep your brain sharp, so I'm really hoping that she decides to make reading a life long habit.

Some people think that reading is an outmoded hobby, but there are still millions of people, young and old, who love the feel of a good old fashioned book in their hand. Not only are people who read regularly proven to be more intelligent, but reading is believed to exercise a different part of your brain than watching a video. To put it a little simpler: Reading is good.

Sometimes you just have to get away. And that’s what we did this weekend.
