United Blood Services Announces URGENT Need For O-Negative Blood Donors.

United Blood Services announced that they are currently looking for O-Negative blood donors. During the last several weeks, the demand for O-Negative has outpaced the supply significantly.

“It can be given to anyone in an extreme emergency situation when there is no time to cross match the donor’s blood with the patient’s,” explained Lesli Asay, Donor Recruitment Director, United Blood Services, this area’s non-profit community blood service provider. “When you do the math, our community needs people who are O-negative to give blood at least twice as often as everyone else!”

United Blood Services in Billings is open Monday thru Thursday 10 AM – 6 PM, Friday 7 AM to 11AM and Saturday 7 AM – 3PM. Donors may call 248-9168 or visit www.UnitedBloodServices.org to make a convenient appointment to donate. Walk-ins are always welcome. Our address is 1444 Grand Avenue in Billings.
