Today on the Breakfast Flakes, Mark and Paul debated the proposed $122 Million Bond Issue with Billings Superintendent of Schools Terry Bouck and and District 2 Facilities Director Lew Anderson.  Bouck and Anderson made their case for the upcoming mill levy on the ballot next month.  Meanwhile, Paul pointed out that building new schools will not impact graduation rates, test scores and college entrance ratios.

Paul also questioned whether or not small class sizes really prepare students for college, where many of them will be in huge classrooms with hundreds of other students.  Mark noted that nobody is against children or education. However, in a state with no sales tax, property owners are continually asked to pay for these projects.  Where does it end?

Ultimately is boils down to this:  Can we really afford to shell out over 1/10th of a Billion Dollars?
