The soundtrack to the powerful documentary Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me has won a Grammy in the category for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The film follows Campbell and his band along his Goodbye Tour around America, as well as the legendary artist’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

The album was released by Big Machine Label Group and produced by Julian Raymond, Big Machine’s VP of A&R.

"God Bless Glen Campbell. Thank you to the best music company in the world — Scott Borchetta and the Big Machine Label Group — for releasing and supporting the soundtrack. And to James Keach for making a masterpiece of a film,” Raymond said in his acceptance statement. "Love to my wife Dorrie and our son Max and daughter Ava. And finally to the Grammys for supporting Glen, his work and legacy for all these decades.”

Campbell has been fighting Alzheimer’s for years, and his battle has been an inspiration for many. When doctors told him Campbell 2011 he should prepare to stop playing music, Campbell instead went on tour. The documentary that resulted was released to DVD and VOD Sept. 1, 2015.

Campbell himself has won 10 Grammys in his career, including a lifetime achievement award in 2012. He moved back into a full-time care facility toward the end of last year, and his daughter Ashley recently released a tribute to her father in light of his heartbreaking disease, vowing to “do the remembering” for him.
