Missing a Government Paycheck Vs. Corporate Bankruptcy

Today is the first paycheck that furloughed government workers will miss. People are already taking out loans and some places are setting up food distribution centers for those who need it. These are not minimum wage people. I can't believe they can't make it after 21 days. How come no one was screaming when all the Toys R Us or Sears or GM employees LOST their jobs? Why is it only serious if it's a Government issue? Have a nice weekend, and don't eat out so much, just in case...
