
New Year’s Day Drive-By Shooting in Billings Leads to Two Arrests
Billings police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened early New Year’s Day in a residential area on the city’s north side. Officers were called out just after 3 a.m. following multiple reports of gunfire near North 22nd Street and Burnstead Drive.
Callers Reported a Drive By Shooting Between Two Vehicles
According to the Billings Police Department, several callers told dispatch they witnessed a drive-by shooting involving two vehicles. Police say the suspect vehicle fired multiple rounds at another vehicle before both cars fled the area.
Victim’s Vehicle Found With No Injuries Reported
Officers were able to locate the victim’s vehicle shortly after the initial reports. Police confirmed that everyone inside the vehicle was uninjured, which was a relief given the number of shots reportedly fired.

Investigation Leads to Two Local Suspects
Following further investigation, Billings police identified two local men as suspects. Authorities say detectives determined that 23-year-old Rodney Brown and 20-year-old Davinci Tousley were involved in the shooting.
Arrests Made Without Incident
Police located both suspects and arrested them without incident. Brown and Tousley were taken into custody and booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
Five Felony Charges Filed
Both men now face five counts of Assault with a Weapon in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains active, and police have not released additional details about a possible motive or what led up to the incident.
