T-R-O-U-B-L-E is on the horizon for the Capitol City. The Last Chance Stampede revealed it's entertaimnent headliners on Monday (3/2), with Daughtry taking the stage on July 21 and Travis Tritt under the lights on July 22.

Both artists will likely draw decent crowds. Tritt was one of the Country music's most popular "bad boys" in the early 90s, while Daughtry delivered a slew of Rock/Pop hits in the 2000s.  Tickets for both concerts go on sale this Friday, March 6th, at 10 AM. Link HERE.

The Last Chance Stampede Fair and Rodeo runs July 21 - 25.

The Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds is home to action in Helena, with the concerts kicking off the week, followed by three big nights of PRCA rodeo action. The Last Chance Stampede rodeo was voted best Medium-Sized Rodeo of the Year in 2017 by the PRCA, and in my opinion, it's gotten even better since.

Spend a night in Helena and play tourist.

Helena is slightly less than a four-hour drive from Billings, where I live. We don't typically have too many reasons to make the trip. Several years ago, I had an important meeting in Helena, and once after that, our family stayed the night for some reason I don't recall.

We had a blast, especially around the Last Chance Gulch area. Several blocks of this historic neighborhood are a walking mall, with ornate old brick buildings hosting various fun shops, interesting bars, and great restaurants.

When in town (especially if you have kids), the famous Great Northern Carousel is a must-do; get the ice cream while you're there, and check out the science museum nearby. The Brewhouse Grill is next to the carousel if you need something more substantial than a double-scoop cone for lunch or dinner. And the Cathedral of St. Helena is stunning, see below.

Frontier Town Located Near Helena, Montana as She Was

Frontier Town came to life on a piece of paper in 1947. The possibility of it making a comeback to the public may once again have life breathed into it with new ownership collaborating with the Quigley family, the original owners.
