A Bozeman rape suspect is now behind bars on an immigration hold for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This, as Bozeman has seen a surge in crime associated with illegal aliens and Mexican drug cartels are known to be targeting the area.

The @ImmigrantCrimes account on X was first to link a local TV station with report with the name of the suspect behind bars in the Gallatin County Detention Center.

According to KBZK-TV, "Court documents say a woman contacted the Bozeman Police Department around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, to report that she had been sexually assaulted."

The @ImmigrantCrimes account on X reported that a man named Dagoberto Soto was arrested for Sexual Intercourse Without Consent. His name was listed on the jail roster as a hold for immigration (ICE).

Was Soto the suspect referenced in the KBZK-TV report? "Although the article does not mention his name for some reason, the charge, arrest date, bond total, and detainer match up," added @ImmigrantCrimes in the October 9th tweet.

I reached out to the Bozeman Police Department on Wednesday morning and was informed that Soto was arrested for the incident mentioned in the KBZK-TV report.

Cheryl Tusken lives in Bozeman, and previously ran for a school board position.
Here's what she had to say via X"This is outrageous. As a short, small-framed woman, I feel very uncomfortable while grocery shopping when there’s many groups of foreign men shopping and eyeing me up like a piece of meat. I detest this feeling and am very frustrated by the very OBVIOUS increase in migrants."
