Today, Mark and Paul discussed the new marijuana tax in Washington and Colorado.  By a 2 to 1 margin, Colorado voters approved a measure that would impose a 25% tax on all recreational pot sales in the state.  Washington's weed tax will be even higher.  Colorado's reefer revenue is expected to generate $70 million a year, which will go to fund public schools.

After Billings voters narrowly approved the $123 million bond issue this week, Paul wondered if we wouldn't be better off making the party animals pay for improvements to public schools.  Mark then pointed out that there is already a beer tax.  As a beer drinker, Mark's motto is: "no taxation without urination".  If beer drinkers are going to be taxed, they should at least be forgiven for occasionally peeing in the street at 4 am.  Comments like that are one reason why Mark will never be elected to public office.
