"Scotch In a Can" Hitting the Shelves in America
Move over beer! Hard liquor has decided to take a turn at being sold in a can! Scotch whiskey will soon be sold in aluminum cans in the United States, thanks to a company called Scottish Spirits Imports.
Each can of Scottish Spirits will contain 12 ounces, which is about 8 shots, of 80-proof single grain scotch whiskey. The company hopes to have the cans on store shelves in major American markets by February 1st, retailing for $5 a can.
Just one small problem: you can’t reseal a can once it’s open. Therefore, you’re stuck drinking all 8 shots or wasting some of the booze.
Would you drink hard liquor out of a can? I bet it will be popular with college kids!
