Shopping on Thanksgiving Day

Remember when Thanksgiving was all about staying at home and spending time with your family?  These days, it's about eating a quick meal and heading over to the mall to start your Christmas shopping.  Mark and Paul long for the days when the only businesses that were open on Thanksgiving were grocery stores and gas stations.  Sadly, those days are long gone.

Several callers pointed out that, if you're struggling to get by, holiday pay isn't a bad thing for the people who have to work.  Another gentlemen made an interesting comment about personal choice. He refuses to go out on Thanksgiving, but he thinks that stores should be open for those folks who want to shop.  We also heard from a lady who will spend her entire weekend at home with her family, gorging on turkey and watching football the way Thanksgiving was intended to be spent.   Mark will be over to eat at 2 pm.
