Lake Elmo No Bite Turns Into Full Swim

It was a busy week last week so we felt it would be good to grab the poles and take the kids over to Lake Elmo to do a little fishing.

First we came across a few friends.

As we walked up I was thrilled to see a ton of fish swimming all along the shore line. Then I noticed they were all carp…not my favorite fish.

We found a nice spot to camp out and the boys threw cast after cast with different types of bait but no luck. They were having a lot of fun and that is what matters to me. The kids are getting really good at their abilities and I like that a lot.

After an hour or so with no interest to our baits the boys turned this fishing trip into a swimming trip.

That is what I love about kids. What seemed like another disappointment turned into a party and it rocked!

Even better, I got to spend some much needed one on one time with my baby girl who turned a year old on Friday.

These are the times I can’t get enough of.
