Carrie Underwood’s New Single ‘Good Girl’ Hits No. 1 Downloaded Country Song in Just Three Days
Well it sure didn’t take long for Carrie Underwood to pick up where she left off now that she has released new music to country radio. The powerhouse vocalist is definitely having a “good” week as her new single ‘Good Girl’ tops the Billboard Digital Country Songs chart. The track has even recently been named the most-added song to country radio as of late.
Sales of ‘Good Girl’ have already raked in a whopping 108,000 downloads, according the Nielsen SoundScan. The high number of sales isn’t anything new for Underwood, but the impressive part is the fact that it was done in just three short days. The song officially shipped to country radio on Friday morning, the day after the songstress debuted the tune during the Country Radio Seminar on Thursday night on the Sony boat show.
‘Good Girl’ is the lead single from Underwood’s upcoming unnamed album and is one of the tracks she took part in writing. Her co-writers on the smash are Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley. If Gorley’s name sounds familiar, it should. He was also a co-writer on two of Underwood’s previous No. 1 hits, ‘All American Girl’ and ‘Don’t Forget to Remember Me.’
Congrats Carrie!
