At about 3 p.m. on August 20 the wild fire in Lockwood grew from 80 acres to about 1,500 acres by sunset!

The Gazette reports:

The fire started between Lockwood and Pryor Creek about six miles east of Lockwood off U.S. Highway 87 East, on the Crow Reservation.

As of this writing there is zero containment to the blaze that crossed highway 87 early in the fire fight!
It has been reported that at least one home has been totally destroyed.
Ed McIntosh from Q-2 talks of more “fire” weather on the way today!
Multiple fire companies are fighting the blaze including Billings fire fighters.
More later.
