‘Futurama’ Series Finale Gets Chris Hardwick Talk Show Special, First Clip
Hard to believe 'Futurama' has only one more episode to air before its latest (and possibly last) hypersleep, but we certainly won't stop talking about it. 'Talking Dead' and 'Talking Bad' host Chris Hardwick will venture off AMC to host a two 'Futurama' talkbacks surrounding next Wednesday's series finale "Meanwhile," the first clip of which has made its way online as well.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central will host online talk show specials moderated by Hardwick both before and after the 'Futurama' finale, dubbed 'Futurama Live.' Airing on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6:30 P.M. EST., the first special will feature discussions with series creator Matt Groening and executive producer David X. Cohen, along with vocal stars Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr and Lauren Tom.
The second episode will air immediately after the series finale and incorporate co-executive producer Patric M. Verrone and supervising director Peter Avanzino to discuss the episode. Producers, writers and cast will also share behind-the-scenes details and answer fan questions submitted to Comedy Central's Twitter account.
Meanwhile, IGN managed to obtain the first clip from the 'Futurama' farewell episode "Meanwhile," which picks up after what we saw of the episode at Comic-Con 2013.
