The road crews are out in force, plowing and de-icing the streets.  Of course, tomorrow it'll be 57 degrees and the snow will be a distant memory, except for all the sand on the pavement .  Miraculously, the Flakes didn't have any problems driving in at 4 in the morning.  That's because they have a strategy for braving the elements.  It's called leaving a little bit earlier.  What a concept.

Today, Mark and Paul wondered what it must have been like for commuters back in the 1940's and 50's.  They didn't have de-icers or all wheel drive.  Yet, somehow they managed to make it to work on time.  Why?  Because they had the good sense to leave home early.  Admittedly, they didn't have to deal with nearly as many knucklehead drivers on the road.
