Billings Police say officers were called to the 1300 block of Easy Street just before sunrise on New Year’s Day. According to police, the call came in at approximately 5:37 a.m. and was reported as an assault inside a residence.

43-Year-Old Man Found Unresponsive Inside Home

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 43-year-old man unresponsive inside the residence. Officers immediately began rendering first aid before the man was transported to a local hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Detectives Spent the Day Processing the Scene

Billings Police Department detectives responded to the scene and conducted a thorough investigation throughout the day. Police say this included processing the scene and interviewing witnesses as they worked to piece together what happened.

Authorities confirmed that all involved parties have been identified and located. Police emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public related to this incident, a reassurance for nearby residents and the wider Billings community.

At this time, the case remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation. Police say no charges have been filed as detectives continue to review evidence and follow up on leads.
