Why Do So Many Montanans Love Donald Trump?
By now you know that the former President of the United States is coming to Bozeman on Friday and there is certainly electricity in the air.
Whether he's your guy or not, there is no denying that the businessman/celebrity/politician is larger than life. What people might be surprised about is the show that comes along with him.
I've spent most of my life in the media and interviewed celebrities, entertainers, and famous folks, but I've never seen anything like the "Trump Train". And the strangest part? The more people go after him, the bigger his following seems to become.
Case in point, my wife and I were driving home Sunday after church and there was a big vendor on 19th here in Bozeman that was selling Trump shirts, hats, flags, and all kinds of other Trump-related items with a line of people and vehicles pulled off to the side of the road.

Why do Montanans love Trump so much?
Over the last 8 years, the former President has dominated the headlines. He's spent millions of dollars on attorney fees, has been found guilty of multiple crimes, and is viewed as abrasive and often cruel.
The accusations have been countless and the attacks have come from all sides, yet, his popularity continues to grow, as do the crowds at his gatherings.
So what is it that Montanans like about this guy?
For many Montanans, he's a guy who says what many of us think. He says that the government and media are corrupt. He says that we shouldn't fit the bill for the entire world. He says that we need to do something about the borders. These are all topics near and dear to many Montanans, so when a guy says what the rest of us are thinking, it's easy to see why he would be popular.
Plus, for many, times were better under the former President's stewardship. Gas was cheaper, groceries were cheaper, houses were cheaper, etc. While some folks might not like his personality, we often vote with our wallets.
When Donald Trump takes the stage at Brick Breeden on Friday night, the crowd will no doubt be cheering and screaming for the 45th President of the United States, most of them will be there supporting him while several others will be there to be part of the show.
Either way, they'll be there.
