Malmstrom Air Force Base On Lockdown – Active Shooter Possible

This just in from the Great Falls Police Department, & Malmstrom Air Force Base:

Today, at 11 AM, The Great Falls Police Department announced an incident in progress, notifying community members of a large police presence on the Eastern side of Great Falls, near the Air Force Base.

Great Falls PD and the Cascade County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base.

All Great Falls Public Schools East/South of the River are under lockdown, with Shelter In Place in effect.

At 10:43 AM, Malmstrom Air Force Base posted to their Facebook account details of the situation:

REAL WORLD ACTIVE SHOOTER
Malmstrom Air Force Base has entered a lockdown status as of 10:29 AM on February 15 in response to an active shooter alert on base. The safety of our personnel is of the utmost priority and updates will continue to come from official channels.
At this time, it is advised to shelter in place.
