Which Montana Small Business Should Win $25,000 Cash?
Montana is a Top 5 Spot for small businesses.
Per capita, Montana ranks #4 for most small businesses in the United States. 99.3% of all companies in the Treasure State are considered "small", as Newsweek reported in their 2020 state-by-state breakdown. The US Small Business Administration defines a small business as:
...an independent business having fewer than 500 employees.
There are less than 40 companies in Montana with more than 500 workers, according to Zippia's 2023 report, and it's easy to see how our local Montana economy is built on thousands of small businesses. If you're a small business owner, don't miss out on your opportunity to win $25,000 cash from the US Chamber of Commerce.
The deadline to enter is July 7th.
The US Chamber of Commerce's "America's Top Small Business" promotion will select 10 finalists from our region, which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. 70 finalists across the United States will eventually be narrowed down to one winner. They're looking for small businesses that are "making a meaningful contribution to the economy and job creation and embody the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship, and initiative." There is no cost to enter and you can do it HERE.
Even if your company doesn't win the grand prize, all 70 finalists will receive one year of free membership to the US Chamber of Commerce, and be featured on the CO--- website, the Chamber's digital resource center. All finalists will be celebrated this fall at an awards ceremony in D.C.
The backbone of Montana.
When I think of small businesses, I think of places with maybe 5 to 100 employees, which seem to make up the majority of employers in communities across Big Sky Country. From coffee shops and restaurants to construction and trucking companies, most of us probably work for a small business. Ask your boss if they've entered this Chamber of Commerce promotion to win $25,000... tell them you'll help fill out the entry form if they'll cut you in on the winnings.
