Kane Brown won't play the Staples Center this Friday (Oct. 18), less than a week after his longtime drummer, Kenny Dixon, died in a car accident.

Brown's headlining performance for the Staples Center's 20th anniversary will go on, just not until Jan. 9, 2020.

"I want to thank everyone for your outpouring of support and understanding and working with us as we reschedule the Staples Center 20th Anniversary show," the country star says in a Facebook post announcing the postponement. "...Thank you for your thoughts and prayers."

Kane Brown's Longtime Drummer Killed in Crash — Details:

Twenty-seven-year-old Dixon — Brown's touring drummer of several years — died early Saturday morning (Oct. 12) in a wreck police say was caused by speed. A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol obtained by the Tennessean states that Dixon's 2016 Kia Rio was the only car involved in the crash, which happened when he was traveling on I-24 in Christiana, Tenn., around 12:45AM. The car was "moving at a high rate of speed" when it left the highway, slamming into a tree head-on.

Dixon was treated at Nashville's Vanderbilt University Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

"Kenny was a member of our family from the very beginning, and our hearts are with his fiancée Sarah, his son and everyone who knew and loved him," Brown's team says in a statement. "He was truly one of the greatest and kindest people on and off stage we’ve ever known.”

An obituary for the father of one reveals that his wake will take place on Saturday (Oct. 19) at Crosspointe Church from 5-9 PM, while a celebration of life will be held Sunday (Oct. 20), followed by a burial service.

As of now, Brown's next scheduled concert is on Dec. 8 in Rosemont, Ill., at the Allstate Arena for a guitar pull-style radio event.
