Love and Theft vs. Toby Keith – The Showdown
Yesterday's song battle between new singles by Dustin Lynch and Love and Theft was a dogfight, with both artists calling upon fans to vote until the final minutes of Taste of Country Nights radio. In the end, 'Runnin' Out of Air' grabbed 57 percent of the vote, sending the duo on to face a country music superstar today.
Toby Keith's latest single comes from a bartender's perspective. 'Hope on the Rocks' is a song about the wayward souls that wander in and out of a bar looking for 30-proof salvation. Rarely do they announce themselves or offer formal goodbyes -- something the singer knows well from his days watching his grandmother's bar as a kid.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online, and as much as you want by calling (888) 678-9995. If a song wins five days in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
