Luke Bryan Planning Wardrobe Malfunction at 2017 ACM Awards
Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley are set to co-host the upcoming ACM Awards for the second consecutive year, and they have a contingency plan if anything goes drastically wrong. The country stars and good friends recently sat down with The Tennessean to discuss their fears and plans for their hosting duties.
The recent Oscars were a topic of conversation after the wrong envelope was given out and La La Land was mistakenly announced as Best Picture, which was rescinded only moments later and awarded to Moonlight, the real winner. Bentley says he and Bryan have a fool proof plan for any possible ACM Awards flubs — they'll create a diversion.
“We have a plan,” Bentley jokes. “Luke’s going to have a wardrobe malfunction. At least that way everyone talks about that and not the show.”

“It’s sad nobody is talking about what happened at the Oscars,” Bryan quips. “That’s our approach, Dierks — train wreck the show.”
Bentley eased his way into hosting last year and admits that he and Bryan very well could have had a similar problem.
“We played it so loose last year at the top, we could have had our own Oscar moment,” Bentley says.
The ACM Awards nominations were announced earlier this month, and Keith Urban leads the awards show with seven nods. Both Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris are close behind, as each female received six nominations. Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw garnered five nominations each. Co-host Bentley as well as Thomas Rhett and Chris Stapleton received three nods, while Bryan is featured in the coveted category of Entertainer of the Year.
Bryan and Bentley are set to co-host the 52nd Annual ACM Awards on April 2 at 7PM on CBS.
