Luke Bryan Sings National Anthem Ahead of Nashville Predators Game 4 [Watch]
Following Carrie Underwood's popup performance, Luke Bryan surprised the crowd at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night (April 20) with an impassioned rendition of the National Anthem just before Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoff series.
Showing off his Predators pride in a team jersey, Bryan delivered an honorable performance of the song as the Predators lined up on the ice, hands over their hearts during the respected anthem, along with the entire arena of people on their feet. The country superstar helped start the game that follows the riveting win the Predators pulled off on Monday (April 17), leading the series 3-0 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Underwood took Bridgestone Arena by storm during Game 3 when she stepped out on the ice to perform the anthem unexpectedly and lead the towel wave. Her husband Mike Fisher has been playing for the Nashville team since 2011 and became captain during the 2016-2017 season. Prior to the move to Music City, he played for his native Ottawa Senators.
This isn't the first time Bryan has delivered the National Anthem at a major sporting event. He had the honor of singing in the song in front of thousands of fans and millions of viewers, at the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston, where the New England Patriots pulled off a legendary win against the Atlanta Falcons.
“Is the anthem challenging? Yes. Is it nerve-wracking? Yes. But I moved to Nashville to follow my dreams and singing the national anthem on that stage doesn’t get any bigger," Bryan tells People of the honor. His 2017 Huntin’, Fishin’, & Lovin’ Every Day Tour launches on May 5 and 6 with two shows in Nashville.
